Sony, please take a time out
Why does sony always come out with useless eye candy? What can they do to change this?
Convenience or investment?
New tech post at Arrogantics!
Convenience or investment?
What would you choose: the convenience of a subscription service, or the investment of purchased music?

Yup, another google answer session!
pioneer ipod controller sucks
Well, I wouldn’t say it sucks, but you do have a point that it could be better.
“you got me”
Boo!!!!!!
how to take off a ipod faceplate
My dear, iPods do not have faceplates, they have….the thing that is the front of the player. Your search should have been “how to open ipod” and the answer would be “guitar pick”, or at least back in the day it was. The mini (and I guess the new nanos) are a bit sketchy to open…so ya. Either way, iPods do not have faceplates. *ahem* IPODS DO NOT WORK THAT WAY!!!!111!!
send photo cingular cripple motorola
You might assume that cingular crippled moto phones for this feature, but nay, it is simply a bit cracked out to figure out how to do. Reference your manual, you basically have to use the ‘copy’ function.
iPod Integration for Volkswagen jetta
AVOID!!! It’s all about the aftermarket baby.
iRiver Clix
In the history of electronics there have always been products that people fall in love with as soon as people see them. The iRiver Clix series has always been one of those. Now, iRiver hasn’t impressed me much with their other models, but the Clix series took the concept of a PMP in a new direction. Design has always had to balance usability with screen and beauty, and the Clix solved this dilemma in such an amazing and simple way.
iRiver continues to taunt us with these products. The only problem: to every product, no matter its greatness, there is a catch. The catch with the Clix series has always been the storage:price ratio. Too little storage for too much of a price. The other drawback? A PMP simple does not work well with 512mb of storage. Even low end conversions for movies range around 300mb.
Hopefully iRiver can solve their ratio problems with this player. 4GB is a very good storage size. I don’t see anyone actually watching full length movies on this, but for short clips and a good sized music library it is a good size. I’m only hoping that their price point can stay competitive so that this model series can take off.
Review of the past few weeks
I haven’t written for a while due to school, netflix, tivo, and reptile conventions. However, this does not mean that I have been neglecting my blogs. I’ve kept up, of a fashion, but just haven’t quite felt as if anything that interesting has happened to require a post.
Okay, okay, the new ipod nano, I got it.
To recap the last few weeks:
Apple’s going to kick ass no matter what.
There’s a new nano, I hate it less, but at least no one can sue due to the lack of shinyness. The only exception: 8GB in a few mm? Props.
Sandisk is going to own like whoa at second place.
Creative is going to fall, although I don’t see how they could get any worse at this point.
Samsung…well…you still suck.
Dell and HP are whores, but we knew this long ago.
The PS3 will be expensive, but what isn’t?
Grandmothers across the country will be confused as to their grandchildrens’ requests to urinate for Christmas.
OMG of the thousands they’ve sold your laptop is defective? Ya, welcome to technology, get over it.
If you own a laptop, you might want to donate some sperm because your laptop will most likely fry your manhood.
Speaking of which, of all the reports of blowing up batteries, how come everyone’s lucked out and not received fried genitalia?
If myspace was a bar, you’d….well, insert something vulgar about molasses.
Facebook is becoming big brother, again, we knew this long ago.
OMG people can readz your infoz onlinez!!! Excuse me, but may I slap you upside the head for not understanding that which is reality? Get over it.
Zune dropped like a bomb because it sucked, not that Apple somehow has the hand of death up its ass. It sucked. Get over it.
More updates soon, I promise!
Google Roundup
Today has been a very interesting day for searches…
verizon sim card (these searches never stop making me laugh)
trashcan sluts (no. freaking. clue)
cant get a and b to work click wheel ipo (not entirely sure…)
scandisk mp3 player preview (ahh…educating the world one person at a time that THERE ISN’T A FREAKING C IN SANDISK!)
how do i know if my cingular razr has it (you read the manual?)
Wireless age my butt
So I’m moving in two days, and I always pack up my comptuer stuff first so as nothing gets lost. My last few moves I had a whole bunch of random boxes of computer stuff but as I moved I found that the boxes migrated around thus causing much chaos and chord loss.
This time I just got one long tub thing that’s meant for rolling under a bed frame or such. Pretty much everything fit in around my monitor. Yay! Don’t worry, the 2405fpw is in there upside down on top of a very squishy towel.
iRiver T10 2GB avail in US now
iRiver, an interesting DAP maker, has released a higher capacity version of their ho-hum T10 player.
This player is interesting, containing that which you would expect of an iRiver: recording, radio, battery, gigantic size, etc. Anything new? Na, just that it’s 2GB now. They’re finally stepping up to the plate to join the other flash players (Creative, where are you boys? still sucking? ok, reasonable enough)
I don’t specifically hate this player, but I’ve never quite been impressed by the flash iRiver players. The battery cases are behind the screens thus making them into triangular beasts that you never seen in the pictures or product boxes, and in this specific case, the color screen sucks and is no where near as clear as in that picture.
The one thing this does have going is the price point. A MSRP of $150 means you can probobly score it for $130-$150. Honestly, not too shabby.
However, iRiver, please lower the prices of the U10 series so people can consider buying them! Every person that sees them falls in love immediately, but the price point is way too high in comparison to the others… Please, iRiver, think of the puppies.
Google answer session
Another lovely google search that turned out linking to me…
Search: “how to turn the v3c into a mp3 player”
Answer: You don’t, you just buy one and move on.
That is all.
Dear Apple, please impress me
I have rarely been impressed by a new product release. Either the product has so many quirks I want to burn it, or it works as expected but there’s nothing I’m particularly gaga about.
The ideas behind Apple products make me stalk the rumor sites at first, but by the time the products make it to stores the quirks have bobbed up to the surface and ruined any excitement left after the price tag.
Why can’t a company make a product that doesn’t have errors/quirks in it? Don’t companies test these things out on random people to find out if they will work right without knowing all the little tricks so you don’t want to stomp on it?
What has been the biggest disappointment for you? For me, it was the nano. The idea of it just wasn’t executed correctly.
